Singer Nilamani Bhandari has released a new song based on the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese incident, titled Bhutan Incident Part 1.

Chandni released the song on the YouTube channel on the occasion of Bhutan’s National Day on December 17.

Neelmani Bhandari, a singer and composer who has been active in Nepali folk song music for the past two decades, tells Globalpost about the release of the historical song based on the true events of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese people.

Similarly, the rhythm and lyrics of the song are by Neelmani Bhandari and the vocals are by Neelmani Bhandari and Asmi Chhetri.

Singer Nilamani tells that the story of the journey from Bhutan to Maidhar in Nepal is included in the historical song part one.

“When the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese came to Nepal, I was only five or seven years old.’
He adds, “The incident of my grandfather at that time is echoing in my psyche,” said Singer Nilamani.

“My house is also near the camp, Arjundhar. I make songs about the events of the country and abroad and that is my profession.”

“Therefore, I have honored them through songs by discussing the events of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese for a long time”.

On his pain, he said, “Even if you are making news, please write it like this. Sometimes they say that we don’t care when we stay in the camp, but now we will care after going to different developed countries.”

‘It’s nothing like that, I’m the only creator known as the singer of events from days gone by.”

According to him, “Your story is only about pain. I don’t earn any dollar and I have no hope. I myself I’m physically disabled and cheated by nature.. I don’t have any expectations. I won’t even become a hero by singing your songs and earning huge money.’ This is how he expressed his pain.”

Nilamani wants the video to reach all his Nepali-speaking Bhutanese parents, brothers and sisters, who have become citizens of a third country and resettled in different countries including America.

Meanwhile, Neelmani plans to go to the seven Ota camps from Part 2 and shoot.

Neelmani Bhandari, Asmi Chhetri, Laxman Acharya are the main characters in the video which was directed by Shivan Pokharel.

He said that Reynoldsburg City Councilmember Bhuwan Pakurel will be an important contributor to this song from part two.
