Reynoldsburg High School’s FIRST Robotics Team 4085 will host its student-led Inaugural Women in STEM Day, Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 12:00–5:00 PM at the School’s Summit Road Campus in celebration of National STEM Day.
Designed to inspire and inform high school students interested in STEM careers, the day will feature keynote speakers, professional panels, robotics demonstrations, and a college and resource fair.
Students from Team 4085 have worked diligently throughout the summer to bring this vision to life, incorporating the values and mission of FIRST Robotics into every aspect of the program.
Panels that will discuss issues at the event include Business/Marketing Panel 2:05–3:00 PM; Engineering Panel 3:05–4:00 PM; Young Professionals Panel 4:05–4:50 PM; and Medical Panel 4:50–5:00 PM.
Panelists include current and former Team 4085 mentors, alumni, and members of other local FIRST teams, ensuring a diverse range of perspectives and experiences.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Monica F. Cox, Distinguished Professor of Engineering at The Ohio State University, authenticity coach, and founder of STEMinent LLC. Dr. Cox is a trailblazer in engineering education, recognized as the first African American woman to earn tenure in Purdue University’s College of Engineering and recipient of the prestigious Presidential Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
Her groundbreaking research focuses on diversity, equity, and the persistence of women in engineering, with over 130 publications and $16 million in funded projects to her name.
Throughout the day, attendees can also explore: FIRST Robotics outreach and robot demonstrations Scholarship information sessions with the Columbus Foundation College/Resource/STEM Fair.
Community Engagement All 20 Central Ohio FIRST Robotics teams, local schools, and VEX Robotics teams have been invited to participate in this inaugural event.
Women in STEM Day represents a milestone for Reynoldsburg High School’s Team 4085, showcasing student leadership, collaboration, and commitment to advancing opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
