“Yoga for Wellness” is the theme for 7th International Day of Yoga 2021.
Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam, just like previous years will be organizing the biggest Yoga event of Columbus Ohio through partnership with Jaikamal Yoga studio and various local and international organizations on Monday, June 21, 2021, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at Liberty Park, 2845 Home Road Powell, OH-43065.
Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam which has been serving the community by offering free of cost live online and in person Yoga lessons over the weekends benefitting thousands of people will also livestream this year’s event on Facebook and YouTube.
Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being.
“It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India at the UN General Assembly.
A total of 177 nations co-sponsored the resolution in UNGA entitled “International Day of Yoga”, on 14 October 2014.
Also, the International Day of Yoga is being celebrated in partnership with Dublin city for last 4 years. Due to pandemic situation, it was not possible to celebrate 6th International Day of yoga in person.
Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam founded by Munish Arya and Rachana Mishra, a Columbus Ohio based Yoga startup has brought together many other organizations and successfully celebrated 6th IDY on Sunday June 21st with the theme “Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family”.
Over 300 Yoga enthusiasts and Yoga champions joined and benefited from 2020 IDY event through Facebook, YouTube and Zoom social media platforms.
Also, the City of Reynoldsburg, Ohio recently accorded recognition to Yoga and the international celebration of Yoga this week.
