The lively heart of Columbus pulsed with creativity and culture this past 4th of July weekend during the Color of Summer Extravaganza.
This dynamic event spanned three days and featured a unique blend of art, fashion, and culinary delights, amplified by live bands, DJs, and artists. The weekend, structured around three distinctive parties, offered a diverse and exhilarating experience for attendees.

The festivities commenced on Friday evening with an energetic kick-off party at The Kee. On Saturday, the excitement continued with the main event at the Columbus Museum of Art, where art and entertainment converged in spectacular fashion.
The weekend concluded with an exciting afterparty at The Bluestone, marking the season’s most memorable celebration.

The Color of Summer Extravaganza was not merely an event; it was a celebration of artistic expression and community.
The event was attended by numerous artists, painters, Columbus city council members, and other dignitaries.
It showcased the works of underground artists and painters, enhanced by live bands, delicious cuisine, and fashion performances.
Additionally, the color of summer provided a platform for promoting small businesses in Columbus.

Reporters from the New Americans Newspaper engaged with several key figures and attendees.
Speaking to Columbus City Council Member Lourdes Barroso de Padilla she shared her enthusiasm, stating, “This event is one of my favorite summer highlights. It’s an opportunity to showcase our local businesses, artists, musicians, and more. The diversity here is incredible, offering something for everyone from different cultures and backgrounds.”

Furthermore, one of the artists emphasized the event’s importance in strengthening the community and celebrating talent.
Heather Pritchard Wycuff, an artist specializing in refurbishing mid-century furniture, recounted how she found inspiration during the COVID-19 pandemic, painting alongside her son who has ADHD. “This event is necessary because it celebrates and promotes our artworks and our talents,” she remarked.

The Color of Summer Weekend is renowned for its unique entertainment experience, blending art, music, fashion, and culinary delights. Featuring five bands, five DJs, fifty artists, fifteen poets and comedians, thirty culinary stations, and forty models, the event offered something for everyone.
Friday’s kick-off set a lively tone, while Saturday’s main event at the Columbus Museum of Art provided a spectacular fusion of art and entertainment.
The weekend’s finale, The Afterglow at the Bluestone, offered an unforgettable afterparty experience with top DJs, a cigar bar, and a VIP lounge.
This year’s event drew over 3,000 attendees; the Color of Summer Weekend was a vibrant carnival of talent, celebrating creativity and diversity. The event left attendees inspired, showcasing the best of Columbus’s artistic and cultural scene.
