Central Ohio Transit Authority, COTA, Columbus will provide free transportation on Saturday, May 4 to and from COSI’s Big Science Celebration between 11 am and 4 pm.
The President/CEO of COTA, Joanna Pinkerton who announced the partnership deal with COSI said, “The COSI BIG Science Celebration is a special opportunity to explore and get an up-close look at the science and technology breakthroughs happening daily right here in Central Ohio!”
COSI is expected to also distribute free COTA bus passes at dozens of events leading up to May 4.
Ms Pinkerton said that, “While at the BIG Science Festival, stop by and take a tour of COTA’s brand new bus parked on the Rich Street Bridge. This state-of-the-art bus runs on compressed natural gas, furthering our commitment to sustainability. Each passenger seat has a USB port so commuters can charge their mobile devices.
“If you visit the bus at the festival, you and your family can receive COTA bus passes for your trip home, learn more about the technology that moves COTA’s system, and provide valuable feedback about your mobility needs and ideas,” she added.
The BIG Science Celebration is the culminating free community event of the 2019 COSI Science Festival along the Scioto Peninsula, with dynamic experiments, incredible demonstrations, engaging hands-on activities for all ages and an explosive display on the Scioto Riverfront at 4 p.m.
