The Center of Science and Industry, COSI, Columbus, Ohio will host COSI After Dark of a mix of love, science, and Rock n’ Roll on Thursday, February 9, 2023, beginning 7pm to 10pm, as Valentine’s Day approaches.
“This After Dark will hit all the right notes with a mix of love, science, and Rock n’ Roll. You get to be the rock star as you explore COSI, listen to great music, and enjoy delicious concessions,” said COSI on its website.
COSI is a must-see attraction for adventure enthusiasts. It’s a popular destination for visitors of all ages, so if you’re visiting or moving to Central Ohio, don’t miss it!
“Each month features a different theme-from Wizard School to Superheroes-and each includes entertainment, activities, games, and experiences you won’t find anywhere else.”
“Take a tour of the building without kids, and enjoy delicious food, craft beer, and themed cocktails.”
A 90’s party theme on Thursday, January 12,2022, reminded guests of their elementary and secondary school science classes and textbooks days and their favorite music from that era. Over 250 guests attended.
“There were classic 90s Retro video games from Game Arena – plus flubber and plenty of 90’s throwback science,” according to a COSI press release; DJ Dayna brought down the house with some of the iconic songs of the 90s.
They also had karaoke, experience stations, and trivia that had the guests buzzing like teenagers.
The guests had the chance to explore the following displays: the Big Science Park, Ocean, Energy Explores, Meet the innovators, and Dinosaur Gallery. Visitors in the Special Exhibition Gallery could test their flying skills with a simulation of Pterosaurs, recreated during the dinosaur era.
“Attending COSI After Dark was like when the children’s science museum turns into a bar; tonight’s theme was “90’s Party.” Nothing makes me feel older than a museum exhibit; it’s about time I felt like a teenager again,” one fan said.
The next COSI AFTER DARK will be on February 9, 2023, right around the corner from Valentine’s Day, with the theme “Science, Love, and Rock n Roll.”. And it is an ideal date night for all lovers. The date for Mardi Gras is March 9. Meanwhile, Prom: the sequel is scheduled for April 13. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and magic starts at 7 pm and ends at 10 pm for all events.
