“Lady Wrestler: The Amazing, Untold Story of African-American Women in the Ring” will debut at the Wexner Center for the Arts on Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m.
The 80-minute film features interviews with courageous women from Columbus such as Ethel Johnson and Ramona Isbell who braved racism and sexism in the 1950s and ’60s to excel in professional wrestling and became international superstars.
The Director of the documentary, Chris Bournea said that, “Ms. Isbell will be there in person to participate in a question and answer with the audience.”
