The Somali community in Columbus, Ohio will celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Ohio History Connection. It is expected to begin 11am and end at 10pm.
Activities lined up for the event tagged “A Day of Celebration” include entertainment, traditional dances, food, children activities and live animals.
Somalia is located in the Horn of Africa and is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, the Gulf of Aden to the north, the Indian Ocean to the east, and Kenya to the southwest.
