Polls at Columbus, Ohio 378 polling locations across Franklin County opened at 6:30 a.m. today as Americans go out to vote to elect the 45thPresident of the United States of America. The polling locations will be opened till 7.30pm.
According to release by the spokesman of the Franklin Board of Election, Aaron Sellers, “as long as you are in line by 7:30 p.m. you will be able to cast a ballot.
“Voters today must vote at their assigned polling location. Only provisional and military voters will be processed at the Board of Elections offices at 1700 Morse Road,” he stated.
He added that “only ballots postmarked by November 7, 2016, will be counted if received by November 18, 2016.
Meanwhile, over 303,517 registered voters have either voted or returned their mailed absentee ballots in Columbus, Ohio at the end of early vote yesterday in the 2016 U. S. Presidential Election.
With 83,596 in-person votes by Monday, November 7 and the returned mailed absentee ballots of 219,921 the Franklin County early vote center has recorded 303,517 ballots of the 839,358 registered voters in Columbus, Ohio.
This represents 36.16 percent of votes before today’s voting.
The number of in-person early voters surpassed that of 2012 Presidential Election of 68,721.
