The City of Dublin, Ohio has expressed support for the International Yoga Day held annually at the Coffman Pavilion, Dublin.
Mayor Jane Fox and Councilmember Andy Keeler who were present at the 2023 International Yoga Day commended the organizers, Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam for contributing to the health and wellness of the Dublin community by conducting regular sessions at the Coffman Pavilion.
They assured the Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam of the continued support of the city.
The theme for the 9th International Day of Yoga 2023 was “One World, One Health – Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.
“Yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition and has emerged as one of the most trusted means to boost physical and mental well-being,” said Munish Arya, the founder of Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam.”
The word “Yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj meaning “to join”, “to yoke” or “to unite”, symbolizing the unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between human and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being.
Over 100 participated in the International Yoga Day at the Coffman Pavilion, including health and wellness enthusiasts who were there to train.
The Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam honored some members of the community for their invaluable support and participation to the success of the 9th International Day of Yoga. The presentation was made on behalf of Arya Yoga n’ Pranayam by Daarshna Devi, with the support of Sheeltal Parikh, founder of the Indian Women Collaboration.
Some of those honored included Dublin City Mayor Jane Fox, Councilmember Andy Keeler, inter-faith community advocate Imran Malik, magazine publisher Deba Uwadiae and President of the Community Association of Pakistani American, Amjad Baig.
