Dr. Dorothy Jubity Hassan has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Our Helpers, a Columbus City-based nonprofit providing services to immigrant and refugee families in central Ohio.
The new CEO who has 15 years of nonprofit experience in the Central Ohio region has been serving systemically under resourced immigrant and refugee communities has been an adjunct with Arizona State University and recently celebrated the award of her PhD in Higher Education Leadership.
“With the blessing of our founder, Hodan Mohammed and our fierce Laura Berger Abbas, I am honored to continue the mission of Our Helpers and be a small part of trajectory altering work here in Columbus,” Dr. Dorothy Hassan told New Americans magazine.
Dr. Dorothy Jubity Hassan replaces Laura Berger Abba who has moved to US Together as Associate Director of Development.
