With the recent move regarding the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma leaving the Big 12 to come aboard the Southeastern Conference, SEC Conference, the biggest move yet has taken place with the addition of USC and UCLA joining the Big 10 as soon as 2024.
At the helm of these discussion leading the way was Big 10 commissioner Kevin Warren. Warren still holding strong to his morale about the student athlete, but seeing the evolving landscape of college football in his quote he said “But that being said, just to be mindful about the world we live in. We just have to be kind of thoughtful and mindful. What will the evolution of college athletics be? But right now, I’m excited about finishing up this academic year strong.”
Warren was adamant in making sure they would find sufficient ways to travel for the other sports during there since this a primary move for all the football programs.
The Big 10 itself is looking to capitalize on a huge Tv broadcasting deal that could be worth over a billion dollars. In Adding these California teams is bring lighter to an already powerful conference is leave the PAC 12 in disarray with keeping their conference together ultimately may cause the full disbandment or confusion to another organization.
