Mother and daughter events allow for a glitch in the universe (the matrix), a dream deferred (Langton Hughes), a time in space to be realized; these examples, as we know, are rare, few far, and don’t come around often. The third annual mothers and daughters sponsored by Pure Entertainment and Events at Abes Banquet Hall in Columbus lived up to the hype on March 27, 2021, especially for a girl’s best friend and mother’s first melting pot.
This mother and daughter event provided a daughter and mother an opportunity to enjoy each other’s role and spend a night in a time and space where both can see each other, appreciate each other, and create a feeling of bond and love. Black covers adorned the tables and chairs at Abes Banquet Hall, and many mothers dressed as if they were Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews in “The Princess Diaries.” A few parents arrived with their daughters in style by getting dropped off in a stretch or hummer limo, and that’s because time and space between a daughter and mother rarely come area. And sometimes, it is where time stands still, and they see eye to eye.
In the work setting, decision-makers require employers to attend team-building events. These events build bonds and relationships, but it relates to mothers and daughters. They are a team, and building connections is vital to the success of a mother and daughter. A love between a mother and daughter is a bond that is often untouchable.
“And this event is unique because it is not just for mothers but a day to participate doing formal occasions with the daughters,” Obas, a Haitian American mother attending the event with her two daughters, said.

Planning
When I do my target marketing, I go to different areas so that we all can come together and have a good time together. Ultimately, our goal is to promote positive relationships between mothers and daughters.
Community involvement
We had a few people who helped us promote and asked to donate their time and firms to this to make this event happen. So everybody knows about this event, it’s a popular event, and many people help spread the word.
New American community
I promoted it in an African group on Facebook, from awareness to the community, and yeah, they’re here. They are here every year, so I love to see it happen.
Pandemic
Our first mother and daughter formal event was beautiful; it was a great turnout and lovely. But the last two years we couldn’t do this event at all and coming back we had to limit the capacity, which has changed. That’s one of the most significant ways it has changed, but our mission is still the same to get as many daughters and moms out as possible. It is new because we usually have more women here than this year. However, we want to keep it safe for everyone.
Participants were young and old while enjoying dancing, listening to music, and contests. Pure Entertainment and events captured the photos as part of the entry fees.
