Children in their numbers from different schools, parents, public and private officials joined to witness the cutting of ribbons and dedication of the new library building of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Karl Road branch on the northside Columbus, Ohio.
Columbus Metropolitan Library Chief Executive Officer Patrick Losinski led, Columbus City councilmember Emmanuel Remy, Columbus City Schools Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon, Northland Community Council President Alicai Ward, Representative David Leland and Karl Road branch Manager, Keith Hanson to welcome guests to the opening.
Several community members participated in the ribbon cutting, including Dr Seleshi Asfaw of ETSS, Laura Berger Abbas of Our Helpers, Nadia Kasvin of US Together, Ibrahima Sow of New Africans Immigrant Commission and Deba Uwadiae of New Americans magazine.
