- Age 40+ from Friday, March 19
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced the expansion of vaccine eligibility to all Ohioans from 16 years and above from Monday, March 29, 2021, just as for 40 years and above begins Friday, March 19.
โIt’s a moral imperative that we move as quickly as we can to vaccinate all Ohioans who wish to be vaccinated. We expect a significant increase in vaccines coming to Ohio soon, so we will expand vaccine eligibility,โ said Governor Mike DeWine.
The updated schedule allows Ohioans with cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease and obesity to be eligible from Friday, March 19 and on Phase 1 E.
Also, those in age range of 40 years and above will become eligible from Friday, March 19.
Over 2.3 million of 11.7 million Ohioans have been vaccinated.
