Columbus International Festival Returns August 30

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the 4th Annual Columbus International Festival, hosted by Festa, will be held at the Ganyard Building at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Ohio, from 2 to 6 p.m.

The free festival will offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy cultural performances and music, sample foods from around the world, and explore international art and traditions.

It will also showcase traditional and ethnic clothing, allowing attendees to learn more about the cultures represented, what makes each community unique, and the journeys that have brought many families to America.

Festa, the organizers of the event, remains an important community resource in Central Ohio, providing English as a Second Language programs for adults, academic support for children through peer pairing, and educational and recreational activities. The organization also provides support to newcomers and longtime residents during challenging circumstances, including severe weather and flooding.

According to Festa, the festival has raised approximately $155,029 since its inception to support the organization’s work in the community. Over the years, the event has attracted more than 3,000 attendees and more than 165 volunteers representing over 70 countries.

The festival also reflects the growing international presence in Central Ohio, where more than one in five residents speaks a language other than English at home. Immigrants contribute to the local economy through businesses, employment, and entrepreneurship, while cultural organizations and festivals create opportunities to share traditions and attract visitors.

A highlight of the afternoon will be the International Tasting Room, featuring a variety of cuisines and beverages from around the globe.

Kim Emch, the founder, says the event will allow the community to sample a variety of cuisines and meet their creators, with a petting zoo and international food trucks.
