US-based new music sensation Charles Kaduru has stormed the music scene with a remake of old-school Oriental Brothers international hit song IHEOMA.
Charles, working with the new singing SENSATION, MyOge, put out this blockbuster, IHEOMA. Charles Kaduru is the songwriter, producer, and executive producer of the song.
The release of the music coincided with the passing of legendary Jimmy Cliff, king of reggae on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Old school music buff James Akwada has described Charlie’s creative work as both nostalgic and reflective. A professor and Sax maestro Patrick Akpaka said Charlie’s music was like a sweet memorial of Oriental Brothers and Jimmy Cliff.
Another professor who knew Chalie from youth, Isidore Diala, said Charlie’s music was indeed worth celebrating as a career achievement.
Charlie, a proud alumnus of the unique 1980 set at Community Secondary School Amuzi Mbaise, Imo State, was almost emotional when he spoke with newsmen on his musical exploit.
“I feel so happy. This has been a long-term childhood dream fulfilled. In secondary school, I and some classmates used our lockers and tables to disturb the class with our music. As I grew up, the dream of pursuing a career continued to stir my spirit. I feel so excited about this music that has seen the light of day,” he said.
Charles Kaduru, a graduate of the University of Calabar, Nigeria, is already looking forward to new ideas and works in the music industry.
