The Federation of Asian Indian Associations (FIA), Ohio has announced the passing of Mr. Rakesh Gupta, former President and current Trustee of the Federation of Asian Indian Associations (FIA), Ohio on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
“He was a pillar of our community, visionary leader, a dedicated volunteer, and above all, a compassionate human being. His tireless efforts in promoting Indian culture, uniting the community, and uplifting countless causes will be remembered for generations to come,” said the Federation of Asian Indian Associations.
“As a past President of FIA and a trusted voice on our Board of Trustees, his contributions have shaped the very foundation of our organization. His passing is a tremendous loss not only to FIA but to the entire Indian American community of Central Ohio.”
Funeral Service had been fixed for Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, from 10:30 AM EST at Snyder Funeral Home 101 Valleyside Dr, Delaware, Ohio.
Born in UP, India, Rakesh lived a life full of love, integrity, fun, and generosity.
Rakesh Gupta is described as “a devoted husband, a caring father, an avid traveler, a cricketer, golfer, and a loyal friend. Known for his warm smile, wise words, and deep-rooted values, he touched countless lives with kindness and compassion.”
He is survived by his beloved wife Suvarna Gupta, his devoted son Suraag Gupta, and many cherished friends and family members.
