Women Working (Wow) With Children Conference 5.0 holds Saturday, October 28

Posted by: New Americans Magazine , October 26, 2023

By Taiwo Akinlami

The Power Parenting Company will host the 5th edition of its Women Working with Children Conference, which also doubles as the 19th edition of the Monthly Town Hall Meeting, on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

“It promises to be a nudge in the right direction as we will be focusing on discussing the Theme: ‘Empowering Women’s Mental Health: Global Insights on Education, Career, Motherhood, Parenting, Self-Care, Postpartum Depression, and Support,” said Taiwo Akinlami, the convener of the Women Working with Children Conference which commenced in 2019.

“In each edition of the program, since it commenced, we have discussed and brought to the fore different challenges faced by women that are often ignored. In doing this, we have also been able to spotlight and recognize the pivotal role women play in the nurturing and safeguarding of our precious children.”

“Mental health is an issue that has gained increasing attention in recent years, and women’s mental health is an important aspect of that, and for good reason. The various roles that a woman plays through their lifespan and the societal pressures and expectations that come along with it play a huge role in the increased occurrence of mental health-related conditions in women.”

Research has proven that mental health has a huge role to play in the empowerment of women and needs to be made a priority. Our esteemed resource persons with their cumulative experience from their distinctive fields will be discussing the following topics: Education, Career, Motherhood, Parenting, Self-Care, Postpartum Depression, and Support as it relates to empowering the mental health of women.
