Manufacturing is crucial to Ohio’s economy. According to the Ohio Manufacturers Association, the state ranked third nationally in manufacturing in 2023, trailing only California and Texas, and supports more than 687,000 jobs. The sector also contributes nearly $49.9 billion in annual wages, ranking among the top three sectors in the state.
Ohio’s manufacturing sector is anchored by major companies including Procter & Gamble, Marathon Petroleum, GE Aerospace, Honda of America Manufacturing, Goodyear, Parker Hannifin, J.M. Smucker, Owens Corning, Crown Equipment, and Lincoln Electric. Collectively, these companies demonstrate Ohio’s strength across automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, energy, food processing, advanced materials, and industrial equipment manufacturing.
Ohio manufacturers also export approximately $55.8 billion in products worldwide. Given the industry’s significant economic impact, public and private organizations continue to invest in education, workforce development, and resources aimed at attracting the next generation of workers to the field.
According to the organizers, the conference will provide manufacturers with an opportunity to explore energy-management innovations, analyze trends in natural gas and electricity markets, and identify cost-control strategies. Participants will also have opportunities to connect with industry experts, engage with peers, and learn about emerging technologies designed to advance Ohio’s energy and manufacturing sectors.
Attendees can earn 4.5 hours of approved General CLE credits for professional development.
