Special Nigerian Passport Intervention Exercise Holds in Columbus June 22-27

A Special Passport Intervention Exercise for Nigerians in Columbus, Ohio and environs will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, to Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10am to 5pm at 2600 Tiller Lane, Columbus, Ohio.

The exercise, expected to be conducted by Embassy officials from Washington DC will be coordinated by Columbus-based entrepreneur, Yussuf Azeez.

“For easier exercise, we have put together eight processes beginning with the registration online by applicants desiring to renew or apply for passports on   https://immigration.gov.ng/,” said Yussuf Azeez, adding that applicants are also expected to pay “registration and processing fee of $400 USD paid in cash at the venue of the exercise.”

“When filling the forms online, the application Processing center should be WASHINGTON DC where the officials are coming from.”

Yussuf advised the applicants to make payment online according to their preferred booklet, for five years or 10 years, adding that they should “upload documents in each field correctly to avoid query.”

On booking appointments, Yussuf said, “applicant should book an appointment after online payment by choosing the next available slot in April until the end of June,” explaining that “all applications will be attended to irrespective of appointment date.”

On what to bring to the intervention center, Yussuf urged the applicants to “print out the filled out online application forms including the payment receipt, original copies of documents submitted online for scrutiny, passport book and copy of same are mandatory for all cases except for fresh and lost application.”

“Make sure you have your return envelope stamped and bring it to the center,” he said, adding that “passport applicants must have their validated National Identity Number, NIN. Your passport name, date of birth and NIN must be the same. Only applicants with verified NINs will be attended to.”
