2026 Ubuntu Series Session 3 Holds August 27

The Department of Neighborhoods will host its 3rd 2026 session of the Ubuntu Series: Unity conversation across cultures with the theme “The Diaspora: Culture, Recovery and Resilience” on Thursday, August 27 at 1925 E. Dublin Granville Road, Suite 210, Columbus, Ohio at 5pm.

“The goal is to discuss issues of mental health and wellbeing, explore opportunities for support, learn from existing best practices through storytelling and foster collaboration across Columbus,” said Lindora K. Diawara, Community Relations Coordinator, New American Program & Administrative Coordinator, Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs.

“The case of the Bhutanese community will be presented, small and large group conversations will be held, and a panel of leaders and experts will share their perspectives.”

Lindora disclosed that, “the department will host the event in collaboration with the Center for Innovation at Columbus Public Health, The minority Health Commission and the Bhutanese Community of Central Ohio (BCCO).”

Members of the public are encouraged to register online “as we anticipate having more participants at the event.”
