Criminals Hack WhatsApp Account of Vanguard Newspapers Publisher Uncle Sam Amuka

Publisher of Vanguard Newspapers Prince Samson Amuka-Pemu, also known as Uncle Sam Amuka, has disclaimed fraudulent WhatsApp messages currently circulating and claiming to be from him, asking for money to be paid into an account, stating that such messages be ignored.

In an immediate response to the messages circulating on WhatsApp social media platforms, Uncle Sam said, “this message is NOT from me.  I have not requested any financial assistance from anyone. Kindly disregard any such messages and do not respond or send money.”

WhatsApp and other social media platforms have been circulating purported messages from Uncle Sam requesting financial assistance. Many friends and relatives of Uncle Sam have received such requests including Vanguard’s former editor Frank Aigbogun.

Vanguard Crime Bureau Chief Emmanuel Nnadozie told the New Americans magazine that “Uncle Sam’s WhatsApp number has been hacked. We are on top of it.”
