Business leaders, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and community advocates gathered Saturday, August 9, 2026. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Dublin for the Afrique Business Network Book Launch and Health Summit, an event focused on opportunities and challenges within the healthcare industry.
Held under the theme “Health Care System, Challenges & Opportunities,” the summit brought together professionals from healthcare, business, government and community organizations to discuss the future of healthcare and the importance of creating stronger pathways for individuals interested in entering the industry.
The program highlighted career and business opportunities in healthcare systems, as well as challenges and potential solutions facing growing healthcare organizations.
Discussions also emphasized that healthcare extends beyond hospitals and physicians, creating opportunities in areas such as nursing, healthcare education and workforce development, research, innovation, entrepreneurship and public health.
A key message throughout the summit was the growing need for a strong and well-trained healthcare workforce.
The event also explored how technology and artificial intelligence are changing the workforce. While AI is expected to transform many industries, healthcare continues to depend heavily on human skills such as compassion, communication, physical care and personal interaction.
The summit featured a group of speakers and community leaders, including healthcare executives, physicians, business professionals and public officials. Among the participants were Dr. Adeboyin Adetoro, Medical Director of OHIOCARE Inc.; and Adeola Atanda, BSN, RN, Certified Home Health Consultant.
Also participating was Irina Perry of Perry’s Media & Wellness, who served as a reviewer during the program.
The gathering was hosted by Tayo Oresotu, President of Afrique Business Network. In addition to the Health Summit, the evening included a Gala Night, featuring the unveiling of the Afrique Business Network Board of Trustees and Advisory Board.
Another highlight was the launch of two books by Oresotu: “Keep Your Job and Make $100,000 a Year” and “Your Mindset Is All.” The books focus on entrepreneurship, financial growth, personal development and the role mindset plays in achieving professional and business success.
The August 8 gathering reflected Afrique Business Network’s broader mission of connecting professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders while creating conversations around economic opportunity, leadership and community development.
