The Lakshmi Narayan Mandhir Hindu temple in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on Friday held a vaccination clinic with the Franklin County Public Health Department and the Truto Fire Department, Reynoldsburg with 107 people vaccinated.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine had on Thursday urged churches, employers, labor unions and other agencies to partner vaccine providers to hold closed-pod vaccination clinics during the weekly coronavirus briefing.
Spokesperson for the Shree Vaidhnav Parishad America in Columbus, Reynoldsburg Councilmember Bhuwan Pyakurel who was also one of the facilitators at the vaccination clinic said, “there were many members of the community who would not have had access to the service without the assistance of Mandhir.”
“We helped them register, made reminder calls and offered transportation where needed.”
“In addition to interpretation services provided by the county we had a lot of community volunteers who helped educate the members of the community to understand the benefits and risks of the vaccination.”
He commended FCPH and other service providers for their efforts to bring the services close to the people.

“Franklin County Public Health and the State Department of Health granted fire departments, especially the EMS team, necessary certification needed to administer the vaccine,” Lieutenant Perry of the Truro Township Fire Department said.
