3rd One Columbus Culture Day Holds May 1
The City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods New American Program, in partnership with the North YMCA, will host the third annual “One Columbus Culture Day” on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at 1640 Sandalwood Place, Columbus, Ohio.
“The annual family and friends’ free-to-the-public event is intended to help foster unity and collaboration,” said Lindora Kolu Howard-Diawara, Community Relations Coordinator, New American Program & Administrative Coordinator, Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs.
“The event is free and open to the public. All resources and food items will also be shared free of charge.” 
“Join us to celebrate our diverse cultures that make Columbus beautiful. Bring your family and friends to get a lifetime experience of different international cuisines, performances, poetry and thematic stories — all in one space,” she said.
Lindora advised that those “interested in having a vendor or cultural display table, please sign up here. Note that no selling is allowed. If you plan on coming to sell physical products, please do not sign up for a table.
“For those of you who have signed up, thank you. The deadline to sign up is this Friday, So, note that you will receive an email next week with clear instructions on next steps and what to expect.”
“As a citywide event, One Columbus Culture Day provides opportunities for networking, cultural and artistic exhibitions, and children’s activities. We again encourage all residents and stakeholders across Columbus to show up and celebrate with us.
“Since its launch, and with support from Rise Up CBUS! One Columbus Culture Day has attracted over 500 participants, 50 exhibitors, 20 different cultural performing groups and 7 food trucks with diverse authentic ethnic foods.”
