ThisWeek: Columbus City Schools announces vacant Board position

Columbus City Schools has announced vacancy in the Board of Education requesting interested residents to apply on or before Friday, September 28, 2018.

Whenever a vacancy occurs on the Board of Education, Board Bylaw 0145 requires (1) the Board to seek qualified and interested candidates from the community to fill the vacancy and (2) applicants to submit a notice of their interest, in writing, to the Treasurer.

The Treasurer of Columbus City Schools gives notice that any resident of the Columbus City School District who is 18 years of age or older, registered to vote, and who wishes to be considered for an appointment to the vacant Board seat, shall apply by submitting a notice of interest, in writing, accompanied by a resume and any other supporting documentation that would be helpful to the Board in reviewing the notice of interest.

All application materials must be received in the District’s Treasurer’s Office, no later than 5:00 p.m., on Friday, September 28, 2018.
