This year’s lecture will focus on a critical national theme: “The Media, INEC, Security Agencies, and the Integrity of the 2027 General Elections.”
The event will bring together key stakeholders in governance, communication, and electoral management to examine the roles of institutions central to credible elections.
The President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku, will chair the occasion.
The Guest Speaker is Prof. Abiodun Adeniyi, Vice Chancellor of Baze University, Abuja, and a respected scholar of media, democracy, and political communication.
Chairman of NAPOC Co-ordinating Committee, Deba Uwadiae, said the lecture is part of the association’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic institutions as the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections.
“NAPOC has always played a frontline role in promoting responsible political reporting and national dialogue. This lecture provides an opportunity for reflection and collaboration among the media, INEC, security agencies, and policymakers,” he said.
NAPOC, made up of journalists who covered the transition to civil rule in the 1990s, continues to champion ethical political reporting and democratic accountability.
