Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities Marks Autism Acceptance Month
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is celebrating Autism Acceptance Month this April, with a special message featuring Connor Miller and Kevin L. Miller, the Director of Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) and Connor’s dad.
They shared “10 Things to Know This Autism Acceptance Month,” highlighting the importance of acceptance, inclusion, listening to the voices of individuals with autism, and recognizing the unique strengths each person brings.
Their conversation showed that “communication can look different, kindness matters, and true acceptance means creating a world where everyone belongs.”
“We invite you to watch the 2026 Autism Acceptance Month video and join us in making this month—and every month—about understanding, respect, and disability inclusion,” said Kevin L. Miller, the Director of Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD).
