A United States’ based Nigerian in the diaspora group, Justice Now has planned a monthly program tagged Nigeria’s Citizens International Democratic Intelligence Conference, NCIDIC to promote constructive citizens’ participation in electioneering and democratic process in Nigeria.
“This NCIDIC project serves as our momentous supports to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC”’ by working for “the peace, progress and prosperity of Nigeria and Nigerians at home and in the diaspora” the group said in an open letter made available to New Americans magazine by the Chief Okey Okafor, Chairman, International Strategic Implementation Committee for Justice Now International.
“The unity, security and even distributions of the Commonwealth and National Privileges of Nigeria to Nigerians are our core missions. The safety and progress of the people of this country and protection of the sovereignty of Nigeria as one indivisible nation continues to be our guiding principle.”
It said that “communication is the life blood of democracy, and it does not help a legitimate government not to consider these compellingly at all times in its actions.”
“As a coalition of civil society organizations (CSOs), our primary focus is to foster national ideology that diminishes ethnicity and promotes passionate nationalism in a 21st Century Nigeria for effective African Leadership.”
