Columbus Welcomes 199 New American Citizens

Columbus city welcomed 199 new Americans on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, as they took the Oath of Allegiance to the United States before US District Court Justice, the Honorable Algenon L. Marbley at the North YMCA, Columbus, Ohio.

Representing 62 countries the new Americans declared to “support and defend the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”

The newly sworn in Americans represent Afghanistan, Great Britain, Philippines, Algeria, Guatemala, Russia, Belarus, Guinea, Saint Lucia, Benin, Haiti, Salvador, Bhutan, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Senegal, Burma, India, Serbia, Cambodia, Israel, Sielle, Cameroon, Jamaica, Sierra Leon, Canada, Japan, Somalia, China, Jordan, South Korea, Columbia, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Congo, Kenya, Syria, Dominican Republic, Liberia, Taiwan, Egypt, Lira, and Togo.

Others include Eritrea, Mexico, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Morocco, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Gabon, Nepal, Vietnam, Gambia, Nigeria, West Africa, Germany, Pakistan, Palestine, Zambia and Ghana.
