The Columbus City Council has appointed Otto Beatty III as the new councilmember for District 7, replacing Shayla Favor who was last November elected the Franklin County Prosecutor.
“Columbus City Council is proud to announce the appointment of Otto Beatty III who will be ready to tackle our city’s most critical challenges,” said Columbus City Council in a short statement.
“Beatty has strong ties to the neighborhoods of District 7 and he will be ready to address the biggest issues our City is facing on day one, including housing.”
