Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, the Chief Electoral Officer of the state and the only Republican candidate that won major office in the November 3 election has described his election as Ohio State Auditor as “mission critical.”
The Republicans lost two other critical state positions currently held by Republican party, including Secretary of State and Attorney General to Democrats.
“As we say in the military, this just became mission critical,” said Secretary Frank LaRose while expressing appreciation for his victory as the new State Auditor.
“I’m honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve as your next Ohio Auditor of State, but it’s certainly a victory that’s bittersweet. I know we’re disappointed about the outcome of so many other races. We, as Republicans, have a lot of work to do.
“I can only say that I believe in the providence of God and that to whom much is given, much is required. From the outset of this campaign, I laid out a clear mission to make Ohio’s government more transparent, efficient, accountable, and affordable!”
While reacting to his victory, Secretary LaRose said, “He stated that, “now that 100 percent of election night results have been reported, I’m confident that we can declare victory with a margin that falls outside of the mandatory recount requirement and considers all outstanding overseas and provisional ballots. We received the second-highest raw vote total of any candidate on the ballot and the highest total among Republicans.”
“There’s a reason the Auditor of State is an independently elected constitutional officer. It’s the watchdog not only of your tax dollars but also of the politicians you hired to manage them. We’re going to make public spending more transparent. We’re going to make government more efficient. When politicians misspend your money, I’ll make them infamous. And when they steal it, I’m going to LOCK THEM UP… regardless of party or politics!
“Now we go to work for all Ohioans to do the job they hired me to do.”
