A junior karate grading program was successfully held at DISKA Hombu Dojo Harrisburg, under the Druk International Shito-Ryu Karate Association (DISKA).
DISKA has been providing regular training to students of different age groups, with a focus on traditional Shito-Ryu karate, technical development, discipline, and the fundamental values of karate. Along with technical skills, the training program emphasizes the development of self-discipline, respect, confidence, patience, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous practice.
The junior grading at the Harrisburg Hombu Dojo was conducted under the training and guidance of Sensei Yam Bista. During the grading, students demonstrated fundamental karate techniques, kata, kumite, and other skills appropriate to their respective levels.
Following an assessment of the students’ technical abilities, physical preparation, discipline, training progress, and overall performance, those who met the required standards were promoted to their next belt levels.
In karate, grading is more than simply advancing from one belt level to another. It is an important evaluation of a student’s effort, technical progress, discipline, learning, and commitment to training. The process also helps students understand their current level and establish new goals for their continued development.
The successful completion of the grading reflects the students’ dedication and consistent effort in their karate training. The achievement is also expected to encourage them to continue their journey with greater confidence, discipline, and enthusiasm.
DISKA Hombu Dojo Harrisburg extended its congratulations and best wishes to all the students who successfully earned their promotions, encouraging them to remain dedicated, disciplined, and consistent in their future training.
The dojo also expressed its sincere appreciation to all parents, instructors, advisors, and supporters whose continued encouragement and cooperation contributed to the successful completion of the program.
Congratulations to all the junior karate students on their achievements, and best wishes for continued success in their karate journey.
