The Forest Park community, Northland Columbus, Ohio enjoyed a splendid market day at the New Americans Garden and Farm Stand on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the heart of Forest Park by the North YMCA (1640 Sandalwood Pl), the corner of Karl Road and Sandalwood Place.
The community had the chance to buy fresh cucumbers, green beans, and leafy greens like jamma-jamma and amaranth from local New American gardeners.
The Farm Stand is managed by the Bhutanese Community of Central Ohio (BCCO) and will be open every Friday, 10 am – Noon, throughout the growing season.
On Friday, August 7, 2026, a Nutrition Workshop will be presented by the OSU Community Outreach Center of the James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital.
All are welcome to attend the workshop, visit the garden, and buy fresh local produce.
It is also an opportunity to network, meet neighbors and gardeners from the New American community and the members of the BCCO staff.
