With both candidates’ victories called in less than three hours at the end of the state primaries, it is now settled for Ohio voters to choose who replaces Governor Mike DeWine at the end of his second term in January 2027.

While Dr Amy Acton won unopposed Vivek Ramaswamy defeated Casey Putsch to secure the Republican ticket.

“It’s the honor of my lifetime to receive this nomination, Ohio. Blessed to be with all of you in this,” said Dr Amy Acton in response to her victory.
