Africa Universities Fund (AUF) Becomes Coursera Impact Partner
The Africa Universities Fund, Inc. (AUF) has been formally approved as an Impact Partner of Coursera, strengthening its role as a structured gateway to globally recognized career credentials for underserved learners across Africa and reinforcing its position within the global digital education ecosystem.
Africa Universities Fund, AUF is an active strategic partner for the Google Professional Career Certificate programs, delivering those credentials through a structured cohort model.
“Our ongoing partnership in delivering Google Professional Certificates positioned AUF within the global credential system with proven results,” said Chijike K. Ndukwu, Secretary-General of AUF.
“Becoming an approved Coursera Social Impact Partner allows us to scale that work significantly and broaden structured access to the global digital economy.”
These expanded offerings will be deployed through AUF’s Learning Link Campus network, technology-enabled hubs designed to bring high-quality digital education to rural and low-resource communities.
Because Google’s certificates are hosted on Coursera’s platform, AUF’s sustained engagement and measurable learner outcomes within that ecosystem have demonstrated operational credibility and quality delivery standards.
Building on this foundation, AUF’s designation as a Coursera Impact Partner expands access to more than 60 industry-recognized Professional Certificates developed by leading global technology companies and universities.
These credentials span high-demand fields including DevOps engineering, cloud technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, IT support, project management, UX design, e-commerce, and iOS mobile application development.
Coursera hosts programs from institutions and companies such as IBM, Meta, and universities including University of London. Through this expanded partnership framework, AUF strengthens its capacity to connect African learners with globally branded credentials recognized by employers worldwide.
The model integrates reliable connectivity, modern computing infrastructure, and local mentorship to improve completion rates, certification attainment, and workforce readiness. The Coursera Social Impact Partner designation enhances AUF’s scalability, quality assurance framework, and alignment with international credential standards, advancing its mission to expand access to higher education, digital workforce skills, and global credential pathways for underserved communities in Africa.
The Africa Universities Fund, Inc. is a U.S.-registered nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to higher education, digital workforce skills, and global credential pathways for underserved communities in Africa through strategic partnerships and its Learning Link Campus network.
