Thanksgiving is considered a day to gather and express thanks with friends, family, and neighbors through their food and traditions, making Thanksgiving authentic and adding American flavors to remembering Turkey. Immigrants and Refugees view Thanksgiving in a conceptual way to express gratitude.

It is a moment to reflect and set aside time to count on their blessings, leaving their homes due to persecution, poverty, political pressure, and instability to find a home in America, the land of opportunity, rich with diversity and culture, where they have experienced positive and significant aspects of life.

Thanksgiving allows the Refugees and Immigrants to cultivate gratitude and celebrate their culture and heritage. Most Refugees and immigrants are grateful to America for allowing them to call America their home, where they can grow economically, intellectually, spiritually, and socially, where many did not have the freedom in their land.

In return, there wouldnโ€™t be an America without the refugees and immigrants; they have helped make America Great by giving back to America in many aspects of technology, healthcare, agriculture, education, and much more. They have contributed billions of dollars to the economy.

Refugees and Immigrants celebrate Thanksgiving by embracing the holiday by reflecting, being grateful to one another, and connecting and building a community no matter who or where they come from.
