 Medcare Clinic: Somali Primary Care Center opens in Columbus

The ribbon cutting ceremony of Medcare Clinic, a Somali primary care health center will open on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 4125 W Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.

Founder and CEO of Medcare Clinic, Farhiya Shirwa described the clinic as “first Somali primary care facility in Ohio,” adding that “the clinic is the result of a huge demand for culturally responsive services in the city of Columbus.”

“Our clinic is fully accredited and licensed. We have a team of extremely professional certified Medical doctors and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) along with highly trained nursing and medical assisting staff.

“The health disparities among immigrant population are well pronounced and removing these barriers is our ultimate priority” she said.

MedCare clinic is a comprehensive multi-specialty medical group dedicated to patient centered care, diversity and excellence. The clinic will provide customized holistic treatment services in a friendly compassionate manner to all individuals and all ages.
