Samuel Adebuga exhibits painting at Columbus International Airport

Columbus-Ohio based Samuel Adebuga is currently exhibiting his paintings at the John Glenn International Airport, Columbus at the Gateway Gallery till November 30, 2020.

The Nigerian-born artist draws from a successful career in graphic design and editorial illustration experience during his days at the Punch and Concord Newspapers, Lagos, Nigeria.

“My paintings are largely autobiographical, an acute observation of constant transformation of everything that life dictates in society at large,” Samuel Adebuga said.

“The process is self-revealing. I used it to investigate, explore, manipulate and ultimately celebrate the way in which I see, in which we perceive things.”

Seeing the medium as a window, Sam Adebuga said, “this becomes an uninterrupted exchange of one’s thought – a window to the world. The combination of painterly, conceptual and poetic maneuvering is what shapes my processes.”

It is his “testament of recollection in the contemporary setting.”
