Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced that the Ohio Department of Health has issued a “Stay Safe Ohio Order” which incorporates the openings of businesses and services announced as part of the Responsible RestartOhio plan.
The new order will replace the April 2, 2020 “Stay at Home” order, which expires at 11:59 p.m. tonight of April 30.
The phased reopening of businesses in the state allows Medical providers, including dentists to resume non-essential surgeries and procedures May 1; Manufacturing, Distribution and Construction to resume May 4 and Retail establishments to open May 12.
Governor Mike DeWine has set up an advisory group comprising the state’s legislative leaders to identify people who work in the sectors such as barbershops and restaurants to come up with ideas to guide them as they reopen to public.
“The goal of this group then is to develop recommendations for their businesses that balance the need to protect the health of employees and customers as they reopen to the public.” Said Governor Mike DeWine.
