Ohio Chamber PAC Endorses Allison Russo, Kristina Roegner in Key Statewide Primary Endorsements

The Ohio Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (OCCPAC) has announced its endorsements in several critical 2026 statewide primary races, backing candidates in both parties who have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving Ohio’s business climate, strengthening fiscal stewardship and advancing policies that support economic growth.

OCCPAC has endorsed State Representative Allison Russo in the Democratic primary for Ohio Secretary of State and current Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague in the Republican primary for Ohio Secretary of State.

Additionally, the PAC is supporting Senator Kristina Roegner in the Republican primary for Ohio Treasurer of State and John Kulewicz in the Democratic primary for Ohio Attorney General. Each of these endorsements comes in a contested statewide primary race.

“Each of these candidates brings a track record of thoughtful leadership and a clear focus on policies that promote economic competitiveness, regulatory clarity and opportunity for Ohio employers,” said Steve Stivers, President & CEO of the Ohio Chamber.

“These endorsements reflect our commitment to supporting leaders who understand the direct connection between effective governance and a strong business environment.”

OCCPAC’s endorsements are intended for the current primary election cycle. Following the primary, the PAC will conduct a thorough review of nominees and make general election endorsement decisions later this year.

Secretary of State Endorsements

Former House Minority Leader Allison Russo has built a reputation for advancing pragmatic, data-driven policy solutions during her tenure in the Ohio House. As Ranking Member of the House Financial Institutions Committee and a member of the General Government Committee, she has developed a strong understanding of the systems that support business operations and economic stability. Her work to strengthen workforce participation, support families and expand access to essential services reflects a broader commitment to building resilient communities that underpin economic growth.

Treasurer Robert Sprague has demonstrated a results-oriented approach to public service, leveraging Ohio’s financial resources to drive measurable outcomes. Through initiatives such as ResultsOHIO and Ohio Gains, Sprague has expanded access to capital, reduced costs for Ohio businesses, and prioritized investments that deliver long-term economic value. His emphasis on innovation and accountability aligns closely with the needs of Ohio’s job creators.

Senator Kristina Roegner brings a strong background in finance, engineering and strategic consulting, combined with extensive legislative experience. As Chair of the Senate General Government and Higher Education Committee and Vice Chair of the Senate Ways and Means Committee, she has consistently supported policies that promote small business growth, tax competitiveness and fiscal responsibility. She has demonstrated her commitment to creating an environment where businesses can succeed and expand.

Attorney General Endorsement

John Kulewicz has earned OCCPAC’s endorsement in the Democratic primary for Attorney General based on his commitment to upholding the rule of law, ensuring regulatory predictability and fostering a legal environment that supports business growth and investment across Ohio.

The Ohio Chamber is the state’s leading business advocate and represents thousands of companies that do business in Ohio. Our mission is to aggressively champion free enterprise, economic competitiveness and growth for the benefit of all Ohioans.

Created in 1978, OCCPAC exists to unify and strengthen the voice of business in Ohio politics. Each of the endorsed candidates actively sought the OCCPAC endorsement.
