WorkOhio is another way the state of Ohio is working to ensure people with disabilities have every opportunity to contribute their talents, build rewarding careers, and reach their full potential.
At WorkOhio.gov, Ohioans can request free, one-on-one support from a local job expert who will personally reach out within two business days. These regional workforce professionals take the time to get to know each person’s unique background, interests, skills, and goals. They also know the most in-demand jobs in their area.
After learning about a job seeker, these experts can connect them with employment opportunities, training programs, or other resources that best fit their individual needs.
For those who would rather explore on their own, WorkOhio also offers an extensive collection of career resources. The website includes a dedicated section for Ohioans with disabilities, making it easy for individuals with disabilities – or their family members, caregivers, or other loved ones – to discover various employment resources, including those available through OOD.
