Frank LaRose Announces Violation Fines and Dispositions on Politicians in November Elections

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has announced that new dispositions have been issued by the Ohio Secretary of State’s Election Integrity Unit (EIU), as some politicians running for the November 3, 2026, elections were fined while some were cleared.

Those cleared of “no violation” included the two governorship candidates for the Democratic Party Amy Acton and Republican Party Vivek Ramaswamy.

Complaints are investigated by the Secretary of State’s office, which may issue administrative fines. These determinations may be appealed to the full commission.

An appeal to the Ohio Election Integrity Commission must be made within 14 days of a disposition being received from the Secretary of State’s office.
