“The Diaspora: Cultivating Growth and beauty in Columbus” is the theme of the next 2026 Ubuntu Series to be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Barnett Community Center, 1184 Barnett Road, Columbus, Ohio from 5pm to 7.30pm.
The City of Columbus’ Ubuntu Series: Unity Conversations Across Cultures is a community discussion initiative operated by the City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods.
“Join us in-person for the next 2026 Ubuntu: Unity Conversations Across Cultures session on the theme “The Diaspora: Cultivating Growth and beauty in Columbus,” said Lindora Howard-Diawara, Department of Neighborhoods Community Relations Coordinator.
“Rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu (“I am because we are”), the program aims to build bridges, heal community divisions, and promote civic engagement among diverse populations, particularly connecting New Americans, immigrants, refugees and long-term residents.”
