Nigerians in Diaspora Organization in the Americas, the Ohio Chapter, Ghana Council, Columbus, Ohio and the Bhutanese Community of Central Ohio are diasporan organizations that will be participating in the Northland Community Fourth of July Parade on Friday, July 4, 2025 to celebrate the 249th Independence of the United States of America.
With close to 100 participants registered for the parade the ribbon cutting to kick start it will be at 10am at 4660 Karl Road (Morse/Karl Road junction), the parade will end at 5750 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio.
President of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization in the Americas, NIDOA, Ohio Sonje Calamese has appealed to Nigerians in diaspora in Columbus to join the parade at the starting point on Morse/Karl road junction.
“Everyone is invited. People can come with what they want to share. We also have the Nigerian flags to share,” said Sonje.
However, lineup for the parade, the largest social event every year in the Northland area, Columbus, will open at 8.30am, with 9.25am being the last possible moment of registration to be in the parade.
Other participants include the New Americans magazine, YMCA of Central Ohio North Branch, Coughlin Cars, Yogi’s Hoagies, Imagine Columbus Primary Academy, KWPCA, Oakland Park Elementary school cheer, Royal Dynamic Dance Company, Dream Elite Dance Company and RCCG Triumphant Chapel.
