The Nigerian In Diaspora Americas, NIDOA, Columbus, Ohio will hold a leadership retreat for its members on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Northern Lights Library, Cleveland Avenue, Columbus from 2pm to 5pm.
Leaders of Nigerian community organizations in central Ohio are expected to participate in the Leadership program.
Some of the community based organizations being served by NIDOA, Columbus include Nigerian Women Support Network, Nigerian Society for Progress, Nigeria Muslim Association Of Central Ohio, Eko Club, Umuada Igbo, Oganiru Ndigbo, Anioma Association and Ozobulu Association.
Others include Yoruba Club, Nwanedinamba Association, Weavers of Nigeria, Nigeria Muslim Community, Nigerian Catholic Community and Odenigbo Cultural Group.
NIDOA Ohio is registered as a 501(c)3 organization, and is currently focusing on professional networking, social advocacy, womens’ development, education, healthcare, technological and economic empowerment, as well as skills and cultural exchange projects.
NIDOA is recognized by the Nigerian government as the umbrella organization for all Nigerians in the Americas and Caribbean including their community based organizations. In 2005, NIDO established an official charitable arm for the organization.
