Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Republican governorship candidate has described the rising media profile of his expected rival, Vivek Ramaswany as “sugar rush”. A sugar rush is described as a temporary state of increased energy and hyperactivity.
“Vivek’s position is just a sugar rush—and a crash is coming when voters know a little bit more,” said Dave Yost on his X (twitter) social media page.
Though Vivek is ceremonially yet to declare his candidacy, his “Vivek for Ohio” website said, “IT’S OFFICIAL: VIVEK IS RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR”
He has already received endorsement from Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and some other high profile Republicans.
While formally announcing his candidacy last month, Dave Yost said, “I’m officially running to be Ohio’s next governor. I’m honored to serve as your America First Attorney General and support President Trump’s agenda. With your help, we’ll move Ohio forward to a brighter future.”
Vivek is an American business leader and New York Times bestselling author. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he often recounts the sage advice from his father: “If you’re going to stand out, then you might as well be outstanding.” This set the course for his life: a nationally ranked tennis player and the valedictorian of his high school, St. Xavier. He went on to graduate summa cum laude in Biology from Harvard and received his J.D. from Yale Law School, while working at a hedge fund. He then started a biotech company, Roivant Sciences, where he oversaw the development of five drugs that went on to become FDA-approved.
Vivek is married to Apoorva, a throat surgeon and Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. They live in Columbus, Ohio where they are raising their two sons.
