New American media owners and executives gathered at the Apex1Radio, Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, February 15, 2025, to deliberate on collaborative efforts directed at upgrading the tools and channels to adequately inform, educate, advocate and cater for the needs of the community.
Under the aegis of the New American Media Alliance, NAMA the media chiefs vowed to work hard in the coming months through media conferences, capacity building, training, seminars, workshops, interviews, research and partnership to highlight the needs and contributions of the community to growth and development.
“The New American Media Alliance is a group of media owners and executives in Ohio to support, advocate and promote the interests of the media for the growth and development of the central community,’ said Deba Uwadiae, publisher of New Americans magazine.
“We look forward to supporting one another in news sourcing, sharing, distribution and promotion of other related materials.”
Also, Shafi Shafat, Chief Executive Officer of Dalmar Television said, “NAMA is a collaboration of strong media groups uniting to solidify their given strength for the betterment of the community.”
“This is long overdue,” said Luis Gil of Latino Hispanic Television.
“We are going to achieve more with these collaborative efforts and positively impact the community,” he added.
Ernest Kanjo, CEO of Apex1Radio, host of the inaugural meeting said, “NAMA intends to build partnership with business organizations, advertisers, government, state and other media organizations.”
