The 2024 Columbus Hot Chocolate Run will be held on Sunday, November 17 at the scenic Riverfront District and finish alongside the Nationwide Arena, home of the Columbus Blue Jackets, with start time at 7.20 am with the 5k race. Other races include 10k race at 8am and the 15k race at 8am.
Described as America’s sweetest run participants will experience a running tour of Columbus’ Riverfront and Arena districts as they race by the Scioto River and through Downtown Columbus, passing by iconic neighborhoods including the River South District, Brewery District, German Village, Uptown District, Victorian Village, and Short North.
The Age Groups include U14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Held in different cities in the United States, the USA TODAY Hot Chocolate Run, also known as “America’s Sweetest Run,” is one of the most iconic running series in the country.
“We deliver a signature chocolate experience and premium swag alongside a top-notch urban run. Over 125,000 athletes of all fitness levels from across the US run for chocolate each season in our live events and virtually,” according to USA Today.
First time participant, Phillip Patrick said, “I am excited and ready for our ‘Reclaiming the Crown’ Hot Chocolate Run. This isn’t just any run—it’s part of the sweetest movement across the country, bringing people together for some warmth, fun, and purpose.”
“I am aiming to reach a budget of $1,200 to make this event a success, and I’m asking if you’d consider pitching in just $2 to be part of it. Every little bit helps, and together, we’re bringing our community closer and more aware of the medical industry and its need for more community involvement and education on corporate and individual insurance policies.”
The Expo/Packet Pickup is on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Greater Columbus Convention Center, Hall C, 400 N High Street, Columbus.
Also, the post-run party will take place at McFerson Commons. a celebrate in the home of the famous Union Station Arch with music, vendors, and a Chocoholic finisher’s mug full of fondue, dippable, and hot chocolate.
